Granny's Love & Lost..

Yest, aft I touched down frm Sydney flight, turned on my phone & it started beeping msgs aft msgs. So popular meh? Only thn I realised Jamie sent me e most texts, sharing w/ us e devastating news of Stella's paternal grandma's demise. It came so sudden tt I took a while to comprehend & also, to figure out which granny issit? Cuz both her grannies r still around & I always mixed them up. One's a chatty, talkative lady while e other's v quiet as she's deaf.

Msgs also came in from Khim asking wat time we'll be thr last night. So I reckon by e time i get home, wash up & wait fer Dear to be back, it'll be abt 8ish. So we all planned to be thr around 10pm. Accurate enuf, Dear got home @8.30pm (cuz I rushed him to *chuckle*), all showered & ready to go. & he still dare to ask me, "Wat's e rush to a funeral?" Geez.. Of cuz need to rush la. Wanna check out how's Stella & her family doing ma. B4 gg over, we had curry rice fer dinner, @Lao Di Fang thn went to Mt. Sophia to pick Jan up frm wrk & head to Jurong togetherly.. Whn we arr, Li, Del, Khim & Sijie were already thr. Dear even made a joke abt Sijie's white top. "He looks like he's part of her family." Oh well.. Harmless joke so don't mind my boy.. B4 I sat down, I took a look @ e photo & realised tt it's e granny who brought up Stella & her sis. Gosh.. I thought it was e other quiet one.

& so, we chit-chatted around e table, nibbling away peanuts & green tea melon seeds w/ our packet drinks. Jan took her dinner there as her wrk ended rather late. Stella's mum, Auntie Annie was, as usual, v hospitable. Making sure our food was served warm & drinks, chilled. It was also Jan's first time to funerals. We were sharing w/ her some customs to follow like tying e red string ard ur pinky, making sure tt it's loose so tt eventually, it will drop off aft we tk our leave & not saying "Bye bye" or "See ya later" b4 we leave.. But in e end, we all kept saying, "Bye, bye! Cya guys on Sat fer dinner.." Haha. Wat to do. We love each other so much tt we need to see one another soon.. ;)

Glad to know that Ste's grandma passed away peacefully last morning aft Auntie Annie bathed her. She was placed onto her armchair aft bathing & moments later whn Auntie Annie went to check on her, her body's turned icy cold.. Called out to her but no response & no breathing. Immediately, she called Ste & told her that grandma's passed away. Ste thot her mum was kidding w her not until Auntie Annie started sobbing, thn she realised it's real. Agnes, Ste's younger sis was also immediately informed while she's in MEL. Same thing, she thot her sis was joking. They're really a bunch of jokees tt whn real stuffs hap, they thot it was jus fer laughs.. & so, Agnes called her flight IFS thn station manager that she's gotta rush bk to attend her grandma's wake & took e nxt available flight back to SIN.

Altho Ste, her mum & Agnes dun show how much they really love Grandma Mary, u can easily see how devastated they all were whn they went over to e coffin to take a look at her. Tears jus rolled down to their cheeks, instantly. This special someone who took gd care of them since they were babies. So much tender loving care w/ touches of love, even if u dun appreciate their presence while they're still ard, u will feel e great sense of lost at her deathbed. Thn u will recollect how much she had done fer u throughout these yrs thn perhaps, regret not doing much fer her whn she was still ard. Wish tt clock will turn back time & u are given another chance to make it up to them. Sighhh..

Below is a pic of my grandma taken on one of her last few yrs birthday @home w/ my ex-maid b4 she passed away. In this pic, she was still very chirpy, pink & smiley w/ chubs on her cheeks tt I think she looked v gd. Altho I may not look gd here, everytime I see this pic, I only see her..

Gosh.. Time to stop. My tap's abt to run agn.. Jus wanna tell her tt I'm still missing her a great deal..
